style icon: drew barrymore
Drew Barrymore has arguably one of the most iconic styles of the 90s. She had the perfect eclectic mix of grunge, girly, and tomboy vibes. Drew just always seems so effortlessly chic and cool. I thought she would be a great person to recreate looks from. Plus, I coincidentally already had all of these clothes.
Here's 4 looks I styled inspired by Drew Barrymore in the 1990s.
Look #1 is based on her cute, but casual outfit on the red carpet. This is a great look for the colder weather. It is super simple, put-together, yet grunge and a good lazy day outfit. The look includes a cream cropped cardigan, distressed boyfriend jeans, combat boots, and a choker necklace. It also would not be complete without the iconic 90s dark lip. This outfit is probably my favorite.
For my look, I'm wear a black cardigan, similar jeans, with Fila Disruptor 2 sneakers and a classic black tattoo choker. Since I had a black sweater, instead of a white one, I wore white shoes to contrast.

Look #2 has a vampy, edgy vibe to it that I love. She is wearing a belted moto jacker, a simple white tee, and high waisted faded black shorts. For accessories, she is wearing western style belt and a crucifix necklace.
For my look, I'm wearing a leather jacket, a white tee, faded black mom jeans, a simple belt, and one of my mom's cross necklaces. I put on jeans instead of shorts, since it's currently 40 degrees out, and since her shoes weren't shown in the photo, I'm wearing hightop Dr. Martens sneakers.

For my look, I stayed true to the light-mid wash denim and the white ribbed tank. For the necklace, I borrowed another one of my mom's crosses. Since her shoes are not shown in the photo, I paired this look with classic black Converse.

Look #4 is an effortlessly cool that is great for fall. Drew is seen wearing a floral, knee-length dress with an oversized jacket and black sandals. This outfit is a perfect balance between dressy and casual, yet it is so easy to throw together.
For my outfit, I threw on one of my favorite denim jackets, with a midi length floral dress, and (instead of sandals, since once again, it's 40 degrees outside) Dr. Marten canvas shoes.
