style icon: harry styles
Harry Styles is a man of many talents. He is a musician, actor, model, and executive producer, but more importantly, he is a true style icon. Styles performs sold-out shows worldwide and donates millions to charity, all while looking his best. Without a doubt, he is my biggest inspiration.
With my admiration for him, as well as fashion, I decided to style 5 looks inspired by Harry Styles.
Look #1 is based on his outfit he wore while celebrating a fan's birthday through Make-A-Wish. This is a great outfit to just throw on if you're feeling lazy or want to look casually cool. The look includes a Britney Spears t-shirt, Old Skool black Vans, jeans, and some tortoise oval mod sunglasses.
For my look, I wore a vintage A-ha t-shirt, some loose fitting jeans, platform Old Skool black Vans, and similar sunglasses.

Look #2 is based on his look from an Instagram post. He is seen with pinstripe pants, a white tee, Old Skool black Vans, and sunglasses. This is a super fun casual look that makes you look a little more put together.
My look includes a white button-up tee, oversized blue pinstripe pants, black platform Vans, and cat-eye sunglasses.

Look #3 is inspired by Harry's SNL promo photoshoot. He is seen with a pink pussy-bow blouse.
I paired a rose-gold blouse with a pair of brown plaid pants and tan loafers, based on looks he is seen in during shows. This outfit would be a cool, vintage inspired formal look.

Look #4 is inspired by a 2014-15 iconic style. During this time, he was very much known for opened, printed button ups, black skinny jeans, Chelsea boots, and layered necklaces or scarves.
I pieced together distressed black skinny jeans with a printed, open button up, layered gold necklaces, and blacked heeled boots. This outfit is a perfect mix of a casual look and a going out look.

Look #5 is inspired by Harry Styles' outfit at his Seattle show on 07/07/18. He is wearing a sheer, sparkly, black self-tie bow top and cream colored dress pants.
This is my personal favorite look I styled for this. I wore a black, pussy-bow blouse with a pair of green and white gingham pants, white socks, and tan loafers. This can work as a cool alternative for a dress or suit for a formal event.

ReplyDeleteI really like this blog especially because it is about Harry Styles. He is still one of my biggest idols and I have been ever since One Direction got together. I really like how you took his look and created something similar, but different. Also, I like how you used your own photos and you were the model because it shows that the clothes aren't extremely rare or hard to find. Good job!
