portfolio 2: make your friends

"Double Vision" 2019

My favorite mediums for art to use are acrylic paint and colored pencils. I like to use the two throughout my artwork, because I feel like it gives dimension to the piece. Also, my favorite subjects to paint are portraits. I'm not sure why, I really like to paint portraits with some sort of unique or strange elements to it. I like to paint portraits, because faces are such a fun thing to draw and paint. Adding surrealism and pop art influences to my art. My favorite pieces I've made are <<AS-TU PEUR?>> and "Double Vision", since they both embody a more unique style that I would love to continue with throughout my art.

So, for this portfolio, I gathered all of my different portraits that I've done recently. I titled the collection "Make Your Friends" as a play on words, since you can say I am actually making friends in a physical sense. I want to one day make an art zine of all my portraits to have them all like one place like this post. I'm still trying to really define an art style for myself, so hopefully one day I can look back on this to see the development of my work.
